Every year, in Italy in the month of February a music festival takes place in Sanremo, Liguria. It’s broadcasted on our national tv station.During the 2nd week of February (from the 7th to the 11th) the 67th edition of “Sanremo Music Festival” took place. The festival was born in 1940 when, after the end of Fascism, Italian economy was in tatters. So the government, in collaboration with Rai broadcaster (Our national tv channel), decided to raise up Italian economy and the soul of Italian people, through an annual song festival. Thanks to this was born the Festival of Italian Songs.
